Something not working, or a question about the app? Mail us and describe what you see. Your device, the app version and what happened just before it went wrong help most.
1Before you write
JLTamp plays music from your own server. It comes with no music of its own, and you sign in on the server you point the app at. Most questions fall into one of these.
Check the address you entered, including http:// or https:// and the port (the server listens on 32400 by default). At home, use the server's local network address. From outside, you need either a VPN or a reverse proxy with HTTPS in front of the server.
Servers are invite-only by default: the server's owner creates your account or sends you an invitation. Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. The reset email only arrives if the operator has set up email, and the link is valid for one hour.
As an administrator, open Manage → Libraries in the app and add a library with your music folder; a scan starts automatically. The server reads MP3, FLAC, ALAC and AAC (M4A), WAV, AIFF, OGG, Opus, WMA and DSD (DSF/DFF). Folders are mounted read-only, so the server never changes or deletes your files.
Check in your phone's settings that JLTamp may keep running in the background and is not restricted by battery saving. Offline downloads need free storage on your device.
These features are switched on per server by its operator, and some are off by default. Ask the operator of your server.
Other people on your server can see that you are listening, never the song, unless you choose otherwise. Change it under Settings → What others can see.
Use Report a problem in Settings. The report (device, app version, screen, error message, no music or searches) goes to the operator of your server, not to us, unless you use music.jltamp.nl. For other servers, also mail us at support@jltamp.nl if it keeps happening.
2Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app, under Settings → Delete account. The steps, and what is and isn't removed, are on the account deletion page.
3Running your own server
The server is open source (MIT). Installation, configuration and troubleshooting are documented in the repository, which is also the place to report a bug you can reproduce: github.com/JLTelectronics/JLTamp-server.
Gebruik Iets melden in Instellingen.
3Je eigen server draaien
